Overview
Before Mewtwo V-Union is discussed, let me give some introduction about V-Union Mechanics. To play a V-Union Pokemon, all four different parts of V-Union Pokemon must be in your discard pile. Once all four parts of V-Union Pokemon are in your discard pile, you can assemble all four parts together and play it as 1 V-Union Pokemon on your bench. Similar to VMAX Pokemon, you opponent takes 3 Prize Cards when your V-Union Pokemon is knocked out.
Unlike other V-UNION Pokemon, Mewtwo V-UNION is all-round Pokemon. Its attacks can be used in various ways such as Energy acceleration, healing, sniping or pure damage etc.
The first attack, Union Gain can be used to accelerate Energy to Mewtwo V-UNION by attaching 2 Psychic Energy from your discard pile. With this effect, you can attach 3 Psychic Energy to Mewtwo V-UNION within1 turn and then you will be able to any of its attacks during your next turn.
Super Recovery, its second attack can heal 200 damage from Mewtow V-UNION for 2 Psychic Energy and 1 Colorless Energy. In other words, your opponent's Pokemon that has below 200 damage will have hard time knocking out Mewtwo V-UNION.
The third attack, Psysplosion is probably the best attack and it has an effect of putting 160 damage counters on your opponent's Pokemon in any way you want for 2 Psychic Energy and 1 Colorless Energy. 160 damage can OHKO the Basic V Pokemon like Falinks V. In addition, this attack will definitely bring nightmare to SIngle Prize Deck like Malamar Rapid Strike or Mad Party.
The last attack, Psyburn has an pure damage of 300 and can OHKO all Basic V Pokemon for 3 Psychic Energy and 1 Colorless Energy. The good thing about this attack is that you don't need to either recharge or discard Energy to use it.
Its only Ability, Photon Barrier can prevent your opponent's Pokemon form putting negative effect on Mewtow V-UNION from their attacks. So, effects such as "Can't retreat", "Special Conditions" or "Discard Energy" won't work on Mewtwo anymore.
Discarding V-Union Cards
To play Mewtwo V-Union, you need to discard its parts either from your hand or from your deck. So, you deck definitely must have cards that can discard card.
Using Professor Burnet, you can discard 2 Cards from your deck. This way you can discard you can 2 parts of Mewtwo V-Union from your deck.
To discard Mewtwo V-Union parts from your hand, you need to have them in your hand first. Other than using Items such as Great Ball to find those parts, you can use Adventurer's Discovery to find 3 parts from your deck since this Supporter allows you to find 3 V Pokemon from your deck.
After that, you can use Galarian Articuno V Ability, Reconstitute to discard 2 parts and draw a card. Alternatively, you can also use Professor's Research to discard those parts if they are already in your hand.
.
Familiar Bell can also be used to find Mewtwo V-Union parts as long as 1 part is in the discard pile.
Additional Attacker
Summoning Mewtwo V-UNION may require few turns unless you have 4 V-UNION cards and Professor's Research's in your hand during your first turn. And you need to defend against your opponent's Pokemon while preparing to summon Mewtwo V-UNION. Thus, you will definitely need an extra attacker.
Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX is chosen as a second attacker because it has strong attack and its Ability, Underworld Door can also be used to accelerate Energy for Mewtwo V-UNION. You can use Fog Crystal to find Psychic Energy if you don't have any Psychic Energy in your hand to use Underworld Door Ability.
